The Edwards Reunion is held every four years for those have been involved with Flight Testing at Edwards Air Force Base in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's.  Please provide this information to other Edwards friends and co-workers you maintain contact withNotify us if you know of anyone who may not be on our list or who may have changed contact information.  See list of names without contact info.  Our list of contact information becomes invalid as people move and email addresses change -- plus some retire and never make it onto our contact list.

The 2014 reunion will include a mixer, our traditional tour of Edwards Air Force Base, and an evening of social camaraderie and dinner at the Holiday Inn in Palmdale, California.  New this year are a visit to the Blackbird Air Park in Palmdale and a tour of the NASA Air Operations facility at the Palmdale airport.

 Reunion Registration.

See this link for Registration FormIf you plan to attend, print the Registration Form and enter your information.  Select the activities you plan to attend.  Complete the security information section for anyone attending the Edwards AFB tour or the NASA tour. 

Include $20 per person payment for the Edwards AFB tour and $40 per person for the dinner with your completed Registration Form.  

Mail the Registration Form and your payment to:  Edwards Reunion, P.O. Box 5151, Lancaster, CA 93539.   Make your check payable to "Edwards Reunion".

 Hotel Lodging.

Lodging accommodations are available for Reunion attendees at the Holiday Inn in Palmdale, 38630 5th Street West, Palmdale, CA 93551, near the corner of Palmdale Blvd and 5th Street West. We have made block room arrangements with the hotel for Sep 15-21 at the special rate of $89/night for king bed or 2 queen bed room, or $129/night for a 2-room suite (plus tax).  Your registration includes a complimentary breakfast.

Make reservations at this link or call the Holiday Inn at (661) 947-8055 for reservations.  If you call to make reservations, inform the reservation desk that you will be attending the "Edwards 2014 Reunion" to receive the special rate. 

 Mixer

The Holiday Inn is graciously providing a mixer for all reunion attendees on Wednesday, September 17, beginning at 6:00 pm.  The mixer includes special hors d'oeuvres and no-host bar for attendees.  All reunion attendees are encouraged to attend the mixer to greet old friends and co-workers.

 Edwards AFB Tour .

Buses will take us on a guided tour of the flight line on Thursday, September 18.  The tour will include selected plane-side briefings on programs currently undergoing testing at the 412 Test Wing.  See preliminary Tour Itinerary for details (as of 5/20/2014).  Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes and minimal jewelry.

Base busses will pick us up at 8:30 AM at the west (Rosamond Blvd) gate.  Parking at the west gate is limited so please try to car pool as much as possible.  If you have special needs for the bus (walker, wheel chair, oxygen, service dog, etc.) contact Tom Henderson at .

Cost for the tour will be $20/person which includes lunch at Club Muroc and water/snacks on the bus.  Include your payment with the Registration Form.

Edwards AFB security requires the information on the Registration Form for all visitors in advance so be sure to fill in that information for each person that will attend.  Photo Identification (Driver's License, Military/Civilian ID card, etc.) will be required for each person going on the tour.

 Social and Dinner at Holiday Inn Ballroom .

The social and dinner will be held at the Host Hotel, Palmdale Holiday Inn, and will begin at 6:00 PM with a no-host bar.  Dinner will be served at about 7:00 PM.  Entree options are:

•  Wild Alaskan Salmon

•  Filet Mignon

•  Chicken Cordon Bleu

•  Eggplant parmesan (vegetarian)

Vegetables, potatoes, salad, tea or coffee and a choice of desserts will be included. The cost will be $40/person which includes tax and gratuity.  Be sure to select your entree on the Registration Form and include your payment along with the form.

 NASA Palmdale Air Operations Facility Tour.

This will be a 9:00 Friday morning walking tour of the facility and of the research aircraft/vehicles.  Transportation to the facility will be by POV.  Entrance to the NASA Facility (the old B-1 Assembly Plant) is at 30th Street East and Avenue P (map).  Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes and minimal jewelry.  New 9/12  Directions to Facility New 9/12.

NASA security requires the information on the Registration Form for all visitors in advance so be sure to fill in that information for each person that will attend.  Photo Identification (Driver's License, Military/Civilian ID card, etc.) will be required for each person going on the tour.

 Blackbird Air Park.

This will be a 1:00 Friday afternoon walking tour of the park and the static aircraft displays.  Transportation to the park will be by POV.  The park is located at 25th Street East and Avenue P (map).  We expect to see in-flight/historic videos of the aircraft displayed and stories from Bill "Flaps" Flanagan.  There are no security requirements for this park.  Wear comfortable shoes.

 Golf Package 

For those who will not be attending the Blackbird Air Park tour, a golf package will be available at the Antelope Valley Country Club on Friday at noon.  The cost will be $40/golfer which includes a cart.  Select the Golf Package on the Registration Form if interested.  Rental golf equipment is available.  You will pay for the golfing at the Country Club.  For additional information contact Dick Hildebrand at .
